It is with great pleasure that we announce today that ALS has acquired CORPORACIÓN LABER, S.L. This acquisition was carried out through ALS AQUIMISA, SLU.

LABER is a prestigious company providing technical laboratory and consulting services in Spain and Portugal, headquartered in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia. It provides services to the environmental and food sectors, with Iberic coverage and an annual turnover of 4,2 million euros.

Founded in 2004 and with a team of 51 employees, LABER is specialized in chemical and microbiological testing for environmental control, food safety and specialized consultancy services in these fields.

With the acquisition of LABER, ALS expands again its presence in Spain, creating synergies with the existing strong ALS network, also becoming the marketing leader in Galicia. With LABER, ALS will add new features and service offerings to our Clients, developing innovative services to new market sectors like the fisheries industries. The LABER services will be integrated into the food and enviro ALS business in Spain.

Commenting on the transaction, ALS CEO Raj Naran said: “This is a strategic acquisition for ALS in Spain and Southern Europe. LABER has a high-quality base of operations and Clients and is aligned with our acquisition strategy, with a focus on opportunities for laboratory and technical services, supporting our strategic plan to increase non-cyclical businesses within the Group. With this acquisition, ALS reinforces its unique coverage in Spain with more than 600 employees, 7 laboratories and 3 offices.
